For most owners, the annual inspection is a step toward renewing the authority’s permission to operate. ETS coordinates the inspection with your elevator maintenance company, documents the results, and submits the inspection paperwork to the City of Houston or the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR), as applicable.
We keep you informed about any reported deficiencies and the paperwork needed to move the process forward. Owners remain responsible for corrections and required fees. The City or TDLR reviews the submission and issues the operating permit or certificate of compliance when its requirements are met.
